Getting started
Playproof helps you get ready for a gig: playlists that work, tracks that play on the decks at the venue, and a USB stick they can read. After the gig, it turns your recording into a tracklist.
Your music stays on your computer
Playproof runs in your web browser, but it does all its work on your own computer. When you show it your music folder, it reads the files where they are. Nothing is uploaded and you don't need an account.
The only time Playproof talks to its server is to check your licence, if you buy one. It sends the key and a label like “Chrome on Windows”, so you can tell your computers apart. Nothing about your music.
How to start
- Open Playproof in Chrome, Edge or Brave on a computer. Firefox and Safari work too, but can do less. Why?
- Try the demo if you like. Turn on the demo library in Settings, or use this link. Playproof makes eight short tracks, a broken playlist, a fake lossless file and a mix recording, so you can try every tool without touching your own music.
- Show Playproof your music folder. Choose it on the Gig prep page. Your browser asks you to allow it. Playproof never changes your music files.
- Fill in your next gig. Give it a name, a date and the player at the venue. Then follow the checklist. Each tool ticks off its step when it's done.
Free version and licence
The free version has every tool, and works on 25 tracks at a time. That's enough to fix a playlist, plan a short set or try the tracklist. Playproof removes the limit in every tool except the set builder; Playproof Pro removes it there too. About buying
